Twenty students – comprised of nine Rutgers–Camden students and 11 New Jersey inmates – attended a Confinement and Corrections course at South Woods State Prison in Bridgeton.

Rutgers–Camden and LEAP Academy University Charter School students received a Social Justice Challenge award for their plan to use composted soil from school waste and grow an urban food forest – one plant bed at a time – on Cooper Street in Camden.
