It is with deep gratitude for a job well done that I report that Rodney Morrison, associate chancellor for enrollment management, has accepted the position of associate provost for enrollment management at Stony Brook University, which is part of the State University of New York system. His last day on campus will be sometime in late May.
As anyone who has worked with Rodney knows, he has been a valued colleague who has contributed greatly to our strong enrollments, even during some very challenging times. Under his tenure, Rutgers–Camden enjoyed an influx of talented students at every level, adding to the vitality of our campus. We have enhanced our relationships with county colleges and local high schools, and have expanded our reach for student recruitment.
Since Rodney’s arrival at Rutgers–Camden in September 2010, we have established the Hill Family Center for College Access as well as a critically needed unit dedicated to institutional research. His efforts – including the installation of a financial aid call center – have improved the quality of services offered by our financial aid and admissions teams.
As associate chancellor for enrollment management, Rodney has worked closely with our colleagues across the university to reinforce the essential role of our campus within the Rutgers system. Those messages regularly are communicated to prospective students across New Jersey and around the world.
Please join me in thanking Rodney Morrison for his many contributions to Rutgers-Camden, and in wishing him continued success in his new endeavor.
This leadership role is critical to the growth of our campus and must not remain vacant longer than necessary. Accordingly, we have posted the position to begin the national search process for Rodney’s successor.
