I am additionally pleased to report that, upon the recommendation of Faculty of Arts and Sciences Dean Kriste Lindenmeyer, I have authorized the promotion of Dr. Joseph Schiavo to clinical associate professor of music.

This is an impressive slate of promotions and reappointments for our campus, and represents the extraordinary caliber of our faculty at every stage of their careers.  The excellence of these scholars advances Rutgers–Camden’s growing international reputation for outstanding research, teaching, and service.  We all have reason to be very proud of their superior efforts and accomplishments.

Please join me in extending warm congratulations to these faculty colleagues.

Due to the early date of the April board meeting, as well as the sheer volume of nominations for promotion and tenure, additional candidates have yet to be evaluated.  It is likely that further recommendations will be presented to the Board of Governors during their regularly scheduled June meeting.

Wendell E. Pritchett, J.D., Ph.D.
